Three Tricks to Saving More
How many times have I heard people say they don’t have any cash to save after paying all their bills? A LOT! In the first place most people I hear that from don’t have a good budget in place anyway. By having a good budget in place they COULD actually be saving money on a regular basis. I’m going to take away all excuses for saving and share three ways in which everyone can be saving money without having to come up with extra cash to do so.
- Save ALL cash back/rebate checks
- I talk about getting cashback a lot. Because it’s already something you’ve spent you shouldn’t miss it. So when you receive your cashback or rebate checks every penny of it should be deposited into your high yield savings account.
- Recycling metals or other waste
- There are metal recycling locations that will pay you for various metals you bring to them. Set aside all the various metals from your recycling bin and trash and turn them in for cash. In fact you can increase it even more by asking your friends and family to set aside their metal trash for you as well.
- Use of high yield interest savings accounts
- When it comes to savings you can save with a savings account with little to no interest, or you can can use an account with a higher interest like 1.75% or 2.25%. (I’m currently using the CIT Savings Builder account)
